AUHD TIMES is a creative platform empowering autistic and neurodivergent individuals through self-expression. Our mission is to create safe spaces to amplify neurodivergent voices, celebrate individuality, and provide practical tools to navigate daily challenges.
Through workshops, events, and resources like sensory activations and mental health support, we help individuals embrace their authentic selves and thrive. At AUHD TIMES, we believe creativity and community care can build an inclusive world where neurodivergent people flourish.
meet the founder
Hi There, my name is Dani Lemaster the founder of AUHD Times. AUHD Times came about as a result of healing alongside, and with my inner child. Being raised in a town with less than a hundred people, and in a cult had me experiencing nurture in love, as something I had to earn, and wasn’t even worthy of. Not to mention the anxiety that comes in the hypervigilance of earning love. With no other representation in my vernacular the “Love” I was nurtured in would need attention as I continued becoming.
Becoming has been an AUHDventure indeed. Just a reminder you are not a late bloomer nor late to the game as you navigate self in this societal norm. Hence becoming over and over again in new versions of you that unfold in healing. That healing for me- being that little tiny wonder child I am. Sitting with my young self and becoming the representation I always needed. The nurture form of love I once knew- that was so grievous to my soul- into a space of discovering the being I am in this representation of Love now. Giving grace and understanding to curious earnest being my young self is we began to understood our neurodivergence and how it would create pathways of deeping my abilities to see the world even in it’s simple “norm”.
One of the biggest realizations I had was self expression through clothing. Whether it’s fashion or style, it was the cosplaying of self I enjoyed the most. I could exist in many forms in clothing especially releasing myself from the ideas that there were actual rules, and instead infinite expression. A safe space to stim if you will.
The first designs of a flower with 6 petals- leaving a 7th place open. This being purposely open over the heart space as a reminder you are the nurture space of Love. Your heart space being the 7th petal bringing completion to self! That petal held by my young self Danielle loves you. These pieces are all resourced second hand or gifted, then hand cut and pieced on a garment to live a bit longer connected all over the community to other garments as a reminder of the nurture space we deserve. In that we hold autonomy in ourselves creating safe spaces to nurture in our communities.

auhd style
Our very first community engagement, AUHD STYLE, was an impromptu fashion show that highlighted the creativity and individuality of neurodivergent participants. Each look was a unique expression of personal style, showcasing how fashion can be a powerful tool for self-confidence and empowerment. From upcycled creations to adaptive designs, AUHD STYLE was a joyful celebration of diversity, inclusion, and the limitless possibilities of self-expression.
